I'm Shannon! I'm a Registered Dietitian and women's lifestyle coach who loves all foods.
A warm, flakey chocolate croissant. A steaming cup of coffee with my favorite creamer stirred in. A colorful salad with rich, creamy dressing. A piece of fresh caught fish with crispy grilled skin. Ripe chunky mango avocado salsa with crunchy tortilla chips. A glass of full bodied deep red Cabernet.
Our diet should be described as what we love to eat, not what we're restricted from.
But, it wasn't always this way for me. As someone who struggled with orthorexia (read: extreme obsession with the pursuit of health) and body image issues throughout the greater part of my teens and twenties, I tried every diet out there - and I prescribed them for my clients, too. That is, until I discovered intuitive eating and intuitive living and my entire paradigm shifted.
As a busy mama on the hunt for a truly sustainable lifestyle, I know how challenging it can be to find any semblance of balance between all the difference facets of very full life. My desire is to meet you right where you are to empower, encourage, and guide you to overcome the overwhelm and uncover the best version of you. I believe in the importance of good food - foods that taste good and make you feel good. My coaching embodies balance and mindfulness, body positivity, self love, and a focus on overall wellness with a heart-forward approach.
Food brings me happiness and a deeper connection to myself, my family, and my surroundings. Something I believe everyone deserves the joy of experiencing.
My goal is to help people love food and themselves, one transformation at a time - starting with my own.
A native Floridian, I currently live a stone's throw from the beach in Clearwater, Florida with my little boy, our Bichon Bella, and our newest addition, a kitty named Theo.
I love to read anything I can get my hands on, upcycle old furniture, collect funky crystals, practice yoga, and spend time soaking up the sunshine.
Enough about me, though - I can't wait to get to know you!
